A Palace official on Thursday refused to dignify a local psychic's prediction that President Benigno Aquino III will be unable to finish his term. Atienza earlier claimed Aquino might be ousted due to his conflict with the judiciary. Last year, he also predicted that the President would not be able to finish his term due to health problems, and that Vice-President Jejomar Binay would replace him by 2013. The psychic claimed that he had foreseen the ouster of President Joseph Estrada before the EDSA Dos revolt. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is continuously monitoring the situation in Bahrain following violent clashes between government forces and demonstrators. Recently, a 16-year-old Bahraini died after being hit on the head by a tear gas canister in one of the protests in Sitra. Other countries such as the Britain and Australia have advised their nationals to exercise caution, particularly in public places, and to avoid large crowds and demonstrations.
