The Chinese men found out that the ladies sent by the palace were spying on them. They noticed that all of the ladies have a mirror with them. He mirror was used to watch for their movements. The Chinese men have decided to send out the ladies from their place. After hearing the unsuccessful move, the chief of police asked for apologies to King Sukjong (Ji Jin Hee). The Chief then said that the Chinese men would be able to get away with their sin because they are going to go now and just leave abruptly. The King was dismayed because of the sudden turn of events. Meanwhile, Dong Yi (Han Hyo Joo) was still curios of the paper she found out at the quarters at the Chinese men. She still remembered it on her mind. She was curious because there was this strip of paper and there were letters written on it. Dong Yi asked her former head at the Bureau of Music and friend, but they have noticed that kind of thing at their place. Dong Yi then remembered that her friend, Cha Chun Soo (Bae Soo Bin) was educated by her father. Maybe her father had taught Cha Chun Soo about that. Dong Yi hurriedly went to where Cha Chun Soo was. After hearing the story of Dong Yi, Cha Chun Soo was able to show to her the use of the strip of paper. Then the paper would also need the use of a stick. Chun Soo then asked her if she found sticks near the place. Dong Yi then answered that she found some near the area. Meanwhile, Dong Yi had decided to go back to the place. So she asked her former head of the bureau to provide her dress that she used to wear.
