Senator Miriam Defensor- Santiago was elected judge of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the independent body that prosecutes individuals for crimes against humanity and war crimes. It is expected that Sen. Santiago would be resigning in office for her to have her duties and responsibilities in her new appointment. Senator Miriam will be taking her oath in The Hague, Netherlands. She was then asked if she would resign immediately. Sen. Miriam then said that she will still be staying for a year. So, she could still take part in the impeachment process of Chief Justice Renato Corona. Rhain ramos denies the rumors that she and the son of Senator Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson have a relationship.
