Chen Sy (Richard Yap) is rushed to the hospital after he nearly drowned while swimming into the sea. Chen's wife - Zenaida "Zhenie" Dimaguiba/Sy (Ai Ai Delas Alas) panicked seeing Chen unconscious because she knows that Chen has a tumor on his lungs. Meanwhile, Jade Dimaguiba/Wu (Kim Chiu) is talking to her best friend - Onyx Dimalanta (Jolo Revilla). Jade is eager to help Onyx find someone whom he can love for him to finally move on. Later on, Jade received a call from her mother - Zhenie telling her that her father - Chen is rushed to the hospital. Jade then asked Onyx to drive them to the hospital because she is very worried about her father - Chen. Going back with Zhenie and Chen, Zhenie asked Chen why he lied to her about his real condition. Chen told Zhenie that he doesn't want to make her and his daughter - Jade worry about him too much. Chen then told Zhenie to call Jade and tell her not to come to the hospital because he don't want Jade to see him in his condition. Zhenie then called Jade telling her that she just panicked about Chen but Chen is already okay and she doesn't need to worry anymore. With this, Jade and Onyx just continued talking to each other wherein Onyx confronted Jade about his feelings. Onyx asked Jade why she can't love him back the way he loves her. Onyx even told Jade that he can love her the way Andy Wu (Xian Lim) loves her but Jade is not minding him. Onyx suddenly kissed Jade wherein Jade slapped Onyx's face because she got very mad that Onyx can not understand her.
