Chen Sy (Richard Yap) was rushed to the hospital after having a mild stroke. Chen was very depressed and disappointed to his wife - Jean Sy (Cherry Pie Picache) who sold her company shares to Edison Wu (Ricardo Cepeda). With what Jean did, Edison now has fifty five percent of the company shares which makes him the boss of the company. At the hospital, Jade Dimaguiba (Kim Chiu) together with Zenaida "Zhenie" Dimaguiba (Ai Ai Delas Alas) and Menchu Wu (Marina Benipayo) are there to show their concerns to Chen. Jade is very sad with what happened to her father - Chen wherein she wants to do something about the issue but she doesn't know where to start. Jade and Menchu then left Chen since he is still resting but Zhenie didn't go with them because she wants to talk to her friend - Jean. Zhenie then told Jean that they both must forget about the past and help each other since they can not change the reality anymore. Jean then told Zhenie that she is just pretending to reconcile with her because she knows that deep inside Zhenie's heart, she is very happy seeing Jean go down. Zhenie then told Jean that she should not put grudge to everything because some people are willing to help her. Later on at the Dimaguiba family, Jade's best friend - Onyx Dimalanta (Jolo Revilla) and Jade's grandmother - Amor Dimaguiba (Gina Pareno) are very shock about what Edison did. Onyx told Jade to be careful already because he knows that Edison will make them suffer under his management at the Twin Dragon company.
